Flag Post: Olivia Schreiner

Tether Projects is pleased to announce the second installment of the public art exhibition, FLAG POST. We are happy to have Chicago based artist Olivia Schreiners’s flag on view to the public.

Olivia Schreiner highlights the quiet moments of suspended beauty found in everyday life using messy drips, light-filled transparencies and layered washes of colors often punctuated by bright, seductive patterns. Schreiner has exhibited her paintings most recently at the Cleve Carney Gallery at the College of DuPage and the Hyde Park Art Center in Chicago. She is a member of the Chicago chapter of Tiger Strikes Asteroid and with an upcoming solo exhibit there in Spring 2018.

Tether Projects is a curatorial collaboration between Rusty Shackleford and Julie Rudder. With a nod to the Chicago and NYC based project Temporary Allegiance, by Philip Von Zweck, FLAG POST is a rotating show of artist-made flags. Inspired by the broad use and display of flags from decorative to political and from personal to institutional, FLAG POST flags will fly for their own purposes.
